Ducati Wrooom Event (w/videos)

The Wrooom 2012 event held in the ski-resort town of Madonna di Campiglio involved Ducati riders and Ferrari F1 drivers and others big-wigs from the Italian racing industry. This event that kick-started the Italian motorsport season started off with press-conferences where the Ducati riders answered questions from international media in attendance.

Nicky Hayden who wasn't wearing a sling confirmed he felt much better after his recent injury during riding practice in his hometown. "I can’t wait to ride the GP12..." he said as he talked about his physiotherapy and his aims to get fit in time to ride the GP12 in Sepang. Nicky also expressed his preference for the new displacement vs the earlier 800s. ''I believe in Ducati, this project and Filippo, and I want to get back on my Ducati as soon as possible.” said Nicky.
Valentino Rossi spoke at the press conference "We’re not expecting it to be immediately perfect at Sepang", and that the teams goals were very realistic, and that they were to reduce the gap to competition step by step, working in a logical way, and from there to be able to refine the details in order to be competitive and to try and win. "One of the most important things for going fast is to make the tyres work as they're able to, so together with Filippo, we’ve tried to come up with a bike that will let them perform as well as possible. We’ll see if we’ve managed it. I like working with Ducati. I feel good here because there’s a nice atmosphere and we all have faith.” said Valentino.
