Robbie Maddison prepares for a new world record (w/ video)

Australian FMX (free-style motocross) rider Robbie Madison is preparing himself for another attempt at breaking the world record (for jumping his motorcycle off a ramp) at the 2012 New Year No Limits event to be held in San Diego this year.

Robbie has broken his own world record twice in March 2008, in Melbourne, Australia by travelling a distance of 106.98m (350.98 feet) from take-off all the way into a perfect landing.

On New Years eve 2008 Maddison (also known as Maddy - although we believe some people might simply call him "Mad" instead of Maddy after seeing his dangerous but amazing feats) successfully jumped 96 feet (29 m) up onto the Arc de Triomphe in front of Paris Las Vegas and then descended a 80-foot (24 m) drop off the monument to return safely to ground level, all of this Live on ESPN in front of the world.

Check out his Las Vegas feat after the jump ...
