Good news for all Norton and cafe' racer lovers in the US, the iconic brand from Donington Park, UK will re-enter the US market with sales starting in 2011. Norton reports that the company will be headed by industry veteran Dan Van Epps, former head of Ducati North America and director of product development and product marketing at the Ducati headquarters.
The Commando will be sold in SE, Cafe' Racer & Sport flavors. All models share the 961cc fuel injected, counter balanced, parallel twin pushrod engine, complimented by fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes. To top all of this the SE edition comes with carbon-fiber wheels. Now thats great hardware to go with this iconic moto. No word on the pricing yet but we still expect it to sell in decent numbers considering its iconic image and that Norton has done a fantastic job in keeping the looks very classic yet modern while bearing in mind that the company is being headed by an industry veteran.
